About this machine

What The Laser TM does

The Tonello The Laser TM is a denim laser machine: it uses a laser beam to mark fades, whiskers, distressing and graphics onto denim and garments, replacing the manual abrasion and chemicals of traditional finishing. It processes horizontally on a fixed table for flat work and vertically on oblique mannequins for a three-dimensional, 360° effect, over a 150 by 150 cm work area. Four power options, 115, 200, 300 and 600 W, let you match the laser to the fabric and the depth of the effect.

The trade has a few names for this equipment. Some shops ask for a denim laser machine, others for a laser denim finishing machine, a garment laser machine, a denim distressing machine, a laser fading machine or a jeans laser machine. Each one is describing The Laser TM.

Built for denim and garment finishers

The Laser TM is for the finishing side of the garment industry: denim laundries and jeans finishers, garment-wash and vintage specialists, finishing units that want to move to waterless processing, and sampling and design studios that iterate looks quickly. The CREA software turns a design into a laser file, so the same fade or pattern repeats exactly across a run, and a new look is a new file rather than a retrained worker. Loading on a half or alternate table while the laser runs keeps downtime low.

It is compact enough to fit an existing finishing line, and because the process is dry, it sits alongside washing and dyeing rather than adding to the water and effluent load.

Laser finishing vs hand-sanding, PP spray and bleach

Traditional denim fades are made by hand-sanding, potassium permanganate spray, bleach and sandblasting. Those use water and chemicals, send more to effluent, and expose workers to dust and fumes, which is a real health and compliance issue in Indian denim. Laser finishing does the same fades and distressing with light: no water, no chemicals, and the worker is away from the abrasion. It is also digital, so a design is identical on the first garment and the ten-thousandth, where hand finishing drifts from one worker to the next.

  • Waterless: the laser marks the fabric with light, so there is no process water or effluent.
  • Chemical-free: no PP spray, bleach or resin for the fade itself.
  • Safer: the worker is away from sanding dust and chemical spray.
  • Repeatable: a digital design repeats exactly across the whole run.
  • Fast to change: a new look is a new CREA file, not a retrained hand process.

Industries that use The Laser TM

Any operation that finishes denim or garments is a fit. Tonello builds The Laser TM for:

  • Denim and jeans: fades, whiskers, distressing and worn-in looks on jeans.
  • Garment washing and finishing: laundries adding laser to their process.
  • Fashion and casualwear: graphics and patterns on garments.
  • Sportswear and athleisure: branding and design effects on finished pieces.
  • Footwear and accessories: laser effects on textile and denim parts.
  • Sampling and design studios: rapid iteration of finishing looks.

What this machine saves you

The numbers Indian manufacturers use to justify the CAPEX internally.

Waterless

No Water Or Chemicals

The laser burns the fade or design into the garment with light, so it replaces the water, potassium permanganate spray, bleach and manual sanding of traditional denim finishing.

Digital

Repeatable Designs

CREA applies the same fade or pattern to every garment from a digital file, so a look is reproducible across a whole run instead of varying from one worker's hand to the next.

Up to 600 W

Laser Power

Four power options from 115 to 600 W let you set intensity to the fabric and effect, from a light whisker to a heavy worn-out look, on a 150 by 150 cm work area.

FAQs

Questions Indian buyers ask us

Real questions from our last 50 enquiries, answered upfront.

It suits the finishing side of the garment industry: denim laundries and jeans finishers, garment-wash and vintage specialists, units moving to waterless processing, and sampling and design studios. It applies fades and designs by laser instead of by hand.

Fades, whiskers, distressing, worn-in looks, graphics and patterns on denim and garments. It works flat on a fixed table and in three dimensions on oblique mannequins for a 360° effect, and the CREA software turns any design into a laser file.

Traditional fades use hand-sanding, potassium permanganate spray, bleach and sandblasting, which use water and chemicals, add to effluent and expose workers to dust and fumes. The laser does the same effects with light: no water, no chemicals for the fade, and the worker is away from the abrasion. It is also digital, so the look repeats exactly across the run.

It comes in 115, 200, 300 and 600 W power options, on a 150 by 150 cm work area. Higher power suits heavier or faster effects; we help you pick the right intensity for your fabrics with the factory.

Yes. CREA applies the design from a digital file, so the fade or pattern is identical on the first garment and the last, where hand finishing drifts from one worker to the next. A new look is simply a new file.

Price depends on the laser power and configuration, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.
