Tonello O-Zone Ozone Garment Finishing Machine
Create denim discolorations, fades and PP-look effects with ozone gas instead of bleach, spray or heavy washing, so the process uses no water and far fewer chemicals. The Tonello O-Zone is an Italian-built static cabinet, supplied, installed and supported across India by Magnum Resources.
About this machine
What O-Zone does
The Tonello O-Zone is a static cabinet that uses ozone gas to finish garments. Instead of bleaching and fading denim with water, chlorine and potassium permanganate spray, it discolours and lightens the fabric with ozone, creating localized discolorations, PP-look effects, dégradé and sun-faded looks. The process runs in a closed cabinet under touch-screen control, which keeps it fast and contained, and it serves research on a garment just as well as a production effect.
Buyers ask for this cabinet under several labels. It gets called an ozone garment finishing machine, an ozone machine for denim, a denim ozone bleaching cabinet, an ozone fading machine or a waterless denim finishing system. All of them mean O-Zone.
Built for denim finishers going waterless
O-Zone is for finishers and brands that want the worn, faded and bleached denim looks without the water and chemicals behind them: denim bleach and fade houses, eco and waterless denim brands, garment-wash plants cutting their chemical use, and denim research and effect-development studios. It was developed with Candiani Denim, a mill known for sustainable denim, which is a sign of where the effects come from. Because it is a self-contained cabinet, it adds an ozone step to a finishing floor without rebuilding the wash line.
The touch-screen control makes effects repeatable from one batch to the next, and the same cabinet is a research tool, so a designer can try a look on a real garment before it goes into production.
Ozone finishing vs bleach, PP spray and heavy washing
Traditional denim fading leans on chlorine bleach, potassium permanganate spray and long stone-and-bleach wash cycles. Those use a lot of water, load the effluent with chemicals, and put workers near bleach and spray. O-Zone gets discoloration and fade effects from ozone gas instead, so the same looks come with no process water for the bleaching step, fewer chemicals and a contained, controlled cabinet. It also opens up effects that are hard to reach with washing alone, which is why brands use it to differentiate.
- No water for the effect: ozone discolours as a dry gas process, not a wash.
- Fewer chemicals: it replaces chlorine bleach and PP spray for the fade.
- Contained: a closed, touch-screen cabinet rather than open hand spraying.
- New looks: discolorations, dégradé and sun-fades that washing struggles to match.
- Repeatable: controlled settings give the same effect batch to batch.
Industries that use O-Zone
Any operation that fades or bleaches denim and garments is a fit. Tonello builds O-Zone for:
- Denim and jeans: faded, bleached and worn-in looks on denim.
- Garment washing and finishing: wash plants adding an ozone step.
- Sustainable and eco brands: labels cutting water and chemicals from finishing.
- Fashion and casualwear: discoloration and fade effects on garments.
- Research and design studios: trying effects directly on the garment.
- Contract finishing: offering ozone effects to brand customers.

No Water Or Bleach
Ozone discolours and lightens the garment as a dry gas process, so it replaces the water, chlorine bleach and potassium permanganate spray of traditional fading and bleaching.
Effects To Sell
It creates localized discolorations, dégradé and sun-faded looks, including effects that are hard to reach with washing or hand work, which gives a denim brand something fresh to offer.
Contained Cabinet
The treatment runs in a closed, touch-screen-controlled static cabinet, so the ozone process is contained and repeatable rather than open chemical spraying by hand.

Questions Indian buyers ask us

Finishers and brands that want faded, bleached and worn denim looks with less water and chemistry: denim bleach and fade houses, eco and waterless denim brands, garment-wash plants cutting chemical use, and denim research and effect-development studios. It adds an ozone step to a finishing floor as a self-contained cabinet.
Localized discolorations and lightenings, PP-look effects, dégradé fades and sun-faded looks, all controlled from a touch screen. It can produce looks that are hard to reach with washing alone, which is why brands use it to differentiate.
Traditional fading uses chlorine bleach, potassium permanganate spray and long wash cycles, which need water, load the effluent and put workers near chemicals. O-Zone discolours with ozone gas instead, so the effect uses no process water, fewer chemicals, and runs in a closed cabinet rather than open hand spraying.
It is a static cabinet, a self-contained machine you add to a finishing floor. It does not replace your washing machines; it adds an ozone treatment step that the wash line cannot do on its own.
Yes. Tonello positions O-Zone for experiments and research directly on the garment, so a designer can try a discoloration or fade on a real piece and then repeat it in production from the same settings.
Price depends on the cabinet configuration, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.
