PRESA HF Drying & Forming Machine for Transformer Insulation
Dry and form pressboard insulation collars from 0.5 to 5 mm for power transformers, on a 27.12 MHz HF press at 30 to 50 kW. Built in Poland and supplied, installed and supported across India by Magnum Resources.
About this machine
What the PRESA machine makes
The Zemat PRESA is not a fabric welder. It is a high frequency dielectric drying and forming machine for pressboard insulation used inside power transformers. It dries and shapes yoke collars and corner collars, for inner and outer circumference profiles, from cellulose pressboard between 0.5 and 5 mm thick. The HF field heats the wet board rapidly and evenly to above 100 degrees Celsius, evaporating the water from within while the press forms the part.
Engineers know this as a transformer insulation drying machine, a pressboard forming press, or an HF dielectric drying machine. The collars it produces adapt the insulation to the electric field inside the transformer.
How the HF drying and forming process works
The machine works with wet or dry pressboard (LD or HD) from 0.5 to 5 mm. Using electric field energy at 27.12 MHz, the board heats steadily through its full volume rather than from the surface in, which is what gives rapid dielectric evaporation of water without scorching. A single collar typically dries and forms in about 10 to 15 minutes depending on thickness and density. Custom aluminium dies cover collar radii from R300 to R2000 on a 1,300 by 800 mm press table.
Who the PRESA is built for in India
- Power transformer manufacturers: in-house production of insulation collars for transformer coils.
- Transformer insulation component suppliers: yoke and corner collars supplied to transformer makers.
- Power equipment and electrical OEMs: captive forming of high-purity, oil-impregnable insulation.
Why source the PRESA through Magnum Resources
Magnum Resources is the authorised India partner for Zemat Technology Group. We size the dies, press table and generator with the factory for your collar profiles, manage import and customs, and train your operators at start-up. Wear parts and technical support run through the same contact afterwards.

Volumetric Drying
The HF field heats the pressboard evenly throughout, so collars dry fast without the scorching or deformation of oven drying.
Collar Radius
Custom aluminium dies cover collar radii from R300 to R2000, so one machine forms a wide range of yoke and corner collars.
Insulation Forming
Form your own high-purity, oil-impregnable insulation collars instead of buying them in, controlling spec and supply.

The PRESA dries and forms pressboard insulation collars for high-power transformers. It is a high frequency dielectric drying and forming machine, not a fabric welder. It shapes yoke and corner collars from cellulose pressboard 0.5 to 5 mm thick, heating the board evenly with a 27.12 MHz field while the press forms the part.
It works with wet or dry pressboard (LD or HD) from 0.5 to 5 mm thick. Custom aluminium dies cover collar radii from R300 to R2000 on a 1,300 by 800 mm press table, so it can produce a wide range of yoke and corner collar profiles, including large sizes.
Depending on the wet pressboard insert, its thickness and density, drying and forming a collar takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Because the HF field heats the board through its whole volume at once, the process is faster and gentler than conventional surface drying.
A conventional oven heats from the surface inward, which is slow and risks overheating and deformation. The PRESA heats the board evenly throughout with a 27.12 MHz field, so water evaporates rapidly and uniformly and the collar holds its formed shape, with the mechanical strength and purity needed for oil-filled transformers.
The buyers are power transformer manufacturers, transformer insulation component suppliers, and electrical equipment OEMs who want to form their own high-purity insulation collars rather than buy them in.
Typical lead time is around 16 to 20 weeks from the Zemat factory in Poland, including build, testing, sea freight and customs. Magnum manages import, customs, delivery, installation and operator training at start-up, with spares and support afterwards.
