About this machine

What the HG50 does

The Miller Weldmaster HG50 is a banner finishing machine that combines three steps into one hot-air station: it welds the hem, cuts the panel, and sets the grommets. The wide-format printed roll is fed in, welded along the edge with hot air, trimmed to size, and finished with grommets placed by an integrated photo eye. One operator runs the whole line from a single station.

Buyers know this kind of machine by several names: a banner finishing machine, a banner welding machine, a banner hemming machine, a hot-air sign welder or a grommet machine. If you searched for any of those, this is the machine that does the work.

Built for high-volume banner and sign production

The HG50 is for print shops and sign makers finishing banners, billboards and signage at volume. Hot-air welded hems do not need stitching, so there are no needle holes and no thread to fail, and the finished edge takes pockets, rope or grommets cleanly. Photo-sensing keeps the cut line and the grommet spacing accurate across long runs, and linear-actuated unwinds with braked tension control keep the material flat as it feeds.

HG50 welding, cutting and grommeting

  • Hot-air welding: seals hems and pockets up to 730 C, with no stitching or thread.
  • Dual-direction cutting: photo-sensed cutting trims the panel to size in either direction.
  • Automatic grommets: places plastic or metal grommets with photo-eye spacing.
  • Seam range: hem, hem with pocket, hem with rope and rope seams.
  • Throughput: up to 6.5 m/min on material 2.5 m or 3.2 m wide.

What this machine saves you

The numbers Indian manufacturers use to justify the CAPEX internally.

Up to 6.5m/min

Finishing Speed

Welding, cutting and grommeting happen in one feed at up to 6.5 m/min, so a printed roll comes off the line finished instead of moving through three separate manual steps.

One

Operator, One Station

A single operator runs the full finishing line from one station, which keeps labour off banner finishing at the volumes a busy print shop turns out.

No Stitch

Welded Hems

Hot-air welded hems have no needle holes and no thread, so outdoor banners do not fray or wick water at the edge, and pockets, rope and grommets sit cleanly.

FAQs

Questions Indian buyers ask us

Common questions Indian buyers ask us, answered upfront.

It suits print shops and sign makers finishing banners, billboards and signage at volume. It is built for a single operator to weld, cut and grommet a printed roll in one pass rather than across separate manual steps.

It hot-air welds the hem or pocket, cuts the panel to size with photo-sensed dual-direction cutting, and places plastic or metal grommets automatically. One feed produces a finished banner.

It runs material 2.5 m or 3.2 m wide at welding speeds up to 6.5 m/min. Realistic throughput depends on the seam, the grommet spacing and the material, and we confirm it for your work.

Seam types include hem, hem with pocket, hem with rope and rope. Grommets can be plastic or metal, placed automatically with a photo eye for consistent spacing.

A hot-air welded hem has no needle holes and no thread, so the edge is clean, strong and does not fray or wick water. It also takes pockets, rope and grommets cleanly, which matters for outdoor signage.

Price depends on the material width, grommet setup and options, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, sea freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.

Magnum is the authorised India partner for Miller Weldmaster. We size the machine with the factory, manage freight and customs, install the line and train your operators, and keep service and spares in India. Standard replacement parts ship from the Miller Resolution Center within 48 hours.
