About this machine

What the FX50 makes

The Miller Weldmaster FX50 is a flexible ducting machine: a production line that builds flexible reinforced ducting and large fabric tubing rather than just welding a flat seam. It forms a wire helix, wraps the fabric around it, welds the seam with hot air, and can lay a wear strip on the outside, all in one pass. It makes duct from 15 inch up to any diameter, welds at up to 10 m/min, and has a 3 m throat for handling large material.

The same machine goes under a long list of labels. The FX50 is what buyers are after when they search for a flexible ducting machine or a flexible ducting welding machine, and equally when they type ventilation ducting machine, flexible duct making machine, fabric ducting machine, reinforced ducting machine or fabric tube welding machine. Any of those terms lands on this machine.

Built for ducting and tubing producers

The FX50 is for manufacturers whose product is the duct itself, not a one-off welded panel. HVAC and ventilation duct makers, mine and tunnel ventilation duct suppliers, industrial and agricultural tube producers, and fabricators of large-diameter fabric tubes use it to turn flat coated fabric and wire into finished, reinforced duct on a roll. Because it forms the wire and welds the fabric together, the duct comes out to a consistent diameter with an airtight welded seam, ready to cut to length.

Variable wire diameter and pitch let you change the duct's stiffness and the spacing of its rings, the heavy former bends wire up to 0.250", and fabric tension control keeps the material feeding straight. The take-away system manages the long lengths the machine produces, so one operator can keep it running.

Machine-made ducting vs hand-built ducting

Flexible duct built by hand, with a wire frame wrapped and then stitched or taped, is slow to make and leaks air at the seam. The FX50 forms and welds the duct in one continuous process, so the seam is airtight, the diameter is consistent down the length, and output does not depend on an assembler's pace. For producers moving real volume, that is the difference between a craft job and a production line.

  • Airtight seam: a welded seam does not leak air like a stitched or taped one.
  • Consistent duct: formed wire and controlled tension hold the diameter down the length.
  • One process: wire forming, fabric welding and an optional wear strip in a single pass.
  • Any size: makes duct from 15 inch up to any diameter on the same machine.
  • Production pace: continuous welding to 10 m/min with a take-away system for long runs.

Industries that use the FX50

Any plant whose product is flexible duct or large fabric tube is a fit. Miller Weldmaster builds the FX50 for:

  • HVAC and ventilation: flexible air-handling and ventilation ducting.
  • Mining and tunnelling: flexible ventilation ducting for mines and tunnels.
  • Industrial extraction: dust, fume and material-handling ducting.
  • Agriculture: grain aeration and crop-drying ducting.
  • Large fabric tubes: filtration tubes, inflatable tubes and conveyance tubing.
  • Marine and defence: portable ducting and ventilation tube.

Why source the FX50 through Magnum Resources

Magnum Resources is the authorised India partner for Miller Weldmaster, the US fabric-welding specialist. The FX50 is a production line rather than a single welder, so the duct sizes, wire setup and seam types need to be right from the start. We work those out with the factory, bring the machine in, clear customs, install it on your floor and train your team. Wire-former parts and service then run through us, not an overseas desk.

If you are weighing up a flexible ducting machine or a fabric-tube welder for an HVAC, ventilation or industrial operation in India, talk to our engineers about your duct sizes, fabric and output targets. You will get real specs, a lead time we can stand behind, and a quotation configured to the machine you actually need.

What this machine saves you

The numbers Indian manufacturers use to justify the CAPEX internally.

15"

To Any Tube Diameter

The FX50 makes flexible ducting from 15 inch up to any diameter, so one machine covers the full range of duct sizes your customers ask for instead of a separate setup per size.

Wire

Former Built In

A heavy wire former bends wire up to 0.250" with variable diameter and pitch, so the machine builds the reinforcement and welds the fabric in one continuous process rather than two steps.

Up to 10 m/min

Continuous Production

Hot-air welding runs continuously at up to 10 m/min, and the take-away system handles long lengths, so the FX50 is built for steady ducting production rather than one-off seams.

FAQs

Questions Indian buyers ask us

Real questions from our last 50 enquiries, answered upfront.

It suits manufacturers whose product is flexible duct or large fabric tube: HVAC and ventilation duct makers, mine and tunnel ventilation duct suppliers, industrial and agricultural tube producers, and fabricators of large-diameter fabric tubes. It is a production line for making duct, not a general fabric welder.

It forms a wire helix, wraps the fabric around it, welds the seam with hot air, and can add a wear strip to the outside, all in one continuous run. The result is finished, reinforced flexible duct ready to cut to length.

It makes duct from 15 inch up to any diameter, has a 3 m throat for large material, and welds at up to 10 m/min. Variable wire diameter and pitch let you change the duct stiffness and ring spacing.

Hand-built flexible duct, wrapped and then stitched or taped, is slow and leaks air at the seam. The FX50 forms and welds the duct in one process, so the seam is airtight, the diameter stays consistent down the length, and output does not depend on an assembler's pace.

It uses hot air welding at up to 730°C, with hot wedge capability at 450°C. It runs on 208-240V single or three-phase at 80A, draws about 19.2 kW, and needs compressed air at 5 cfm and 120 psi. We confirm the right setup for your site.

Price depends on the duct sizes, wire setup and options, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.

Magnum is the authorised India partner for Miller Weldmaster. We source the machine from the factory, manage freight and customs, coordinate installation and start-up with OEM-backed engineers, train your operators, and supply genuine wire-former and welding wear parts to order. One team stays with the project from the first quote to parts years later.
