About this machine

What the Multi-Roll Feeder does

The Multi-Roll Feeder is a feeding system that sits ahead of an FK Group cutting machine and keeps it supplied with material. It holds several rolls of fabric on support brackets and transports each layer to the cutter through a two-roll calender, which draws the material in evenly and lays it down flat. Because more than one roll is loaded at a time, the operator stops to change rolls far less often, and the cutter spends more of the shift cutting.

It is built for semi-stiff and technical fabrics, the kind of material that is awkward to feed by hand because it does not drape like soft cloth. The calender keeps tension steady so the fabric reaches the cutting bed square and without creases.

Roll capacity and bracket configurations

The feeder comes in two standard configurations so you can match it to the weight and diameter of your rolls. The 4-bracket (4BR) version uses four support brackets, holds up to 150 kg and takes a maximum roll diameter of 50 cm. The 3-bracket (3BR) version uses three brackets, holds up to 200 kg and takes a maximum roll diameter of 60 cm. An optional fifth bracket adds extra roll positions where the work calls for it.

  • 4-bracket (4BR): four support brackets, up to 150 kg, max 50 cm roll diameter.
  • 3-bracket (3BR): three support brackets, up to 200 kg, max 60 cm roll diameter.
  • Optional fifth bracket: an extra roll position for plants that run more rolls at once.

Photocell selvedge alignment

A photocell aligner reads the fabric selvedge and keeps the edge of the material in line as it feeds into the cutter. For technical fabrics, where a part is only as accurate as the way the material was laid down, this keeps the feed square and cuts down on waste from misaligned plies. The result is a cleaner feed and less scrap at the start and end of each roll.

Made-to-measure options

The feeder can be built to suit your line rather than the other way round. Bar lengths run from 160 to 320 cm, so the unit matches the working width of the cutter it serves. Cores are made to measure for different fabric weights and diameters, so the rolls you already run sit correctly on the brackets. Picking the right bar length and core for your material is worked out with the factory before the order is placed.

Why a multi-roll feeder pays off

The case for the feeder is plain: time and waste. Loading several rolls at once means fewer stops to change material, which lifts the productivity of the cutter behind it. The two-roll calender and photocell alignment keep the fabric square, so less material is lost to misfeeds and edge creep. The two capacity options and the made-to-measure cores let one feeder cover a range of fabric weights, so the line stays flexible as the work changes.

  • Fewer roll changeovers: several rolls loaded at once means fewer stops per shift.
  • Higher productivity: the cutter spends more of the shift cutting, not waiting for material.
  • Photocell precision: selvedge alignment keeps the feed square for accurate cutting.
  • Less waste: steady tension and alignment cut down on misfeeds and scrap.
  • Flexible configuration: two capacity options and made-to-measure cores suit a range of fabrics.

Industries that use the Multi-Roll Feeder

The feeder suits any plant that cuts semi-stiff or technical material in volume. FK Group lists it across:

  • Composites and technical textiles: carbon fibre, technical fabric and industrial textile components.
  • Automotive cutting: trim, interior and reinforcement material fed steadily to the cutter.
  • Fashion and apparel: spreading and feeding of clothing and accessory fabric.
  • Medical non-woven fabrics: textile components for medical and hygiene products.
  • Aerospace and aeronautical: reinforcement and cover material for high-spec parts.

Why source the Multi-Roll Feeder through Magnum

Magnum is the authorised India distributor for FK Group, whose Italian factory has built fabric cutting and handling equipment since 1961. The part most buyers get wrong is the configuration, so we work out the bracket version, bar length and cores with the factory before anything is ordered, based on the rolls you run and the cutter the feeder will serve. We then handle the import and customs, install the unit, and train your team at start-up. When you need spares or service later, you call us, not an overseas help desk.

If you are evaluating a fabric feeding system for a composites, automotive, technical-textile or apparel operation in India, talk to our engineers about your materials, roll weights and line width. We will give you accurate specs, an honest lead time and a configured quotation.

What this machine saves you

The numbers Indian manufacturers use to justify the CAPEX internally.

Up to 200kg

Loaded At Once

The 3-bracket version holds up to 200 kg of fabric on its support brackets, so the operator changes rolls far less often and the cutter stays fed for longer between stops.

Photocell

Selvedge Alignment

A photocell reads the fabric selvedge and keeps the edge in line as it feeds, which keeps the material square for accurate cutting and cuts down on waste from misaligned plies.

Madeto fit

Cores & Bar Length

Bar lengths run from 160 to 320 cm and cores are made to measure for different fabric weights and diameters, so one feeder matches your cutter width and the rolls you already run.

FAQs

Questions Indian buyers ask us

Common questions Indian buyers ask us, answered upfront.

It suits plants that cut semi-stiff or technical fabric in volume and want to keep the cutter fed without constant roll changes: composites and technical-textile producers, automotive cutting rooms, fashion and apparel lines, medical non-woven makers, and aerospace fabric shops. It is built for material that is awkward to feed by hand.

It is designed for semi-stiff and technical fabrics that do not drape like soft cloth, which makes them hard to feed manually. The two-roll calender keeps tension steady so the material reaches the cutting bed square and without creases. It works on any FK Group cutting machine.

There are two configurations. The 4-bracket (4BR) version holds up to 150 kg with a maximum roll diameter of 50 cm. The 3-bracket (3BR) version holds up to 200 kg with a maximum roll diameter of 60 cm. An optional fifth bracket adds further roll positions where the work calls for it.

A photocell reads the fabric selvedge and keeps the edge of the material in line as it feeds into the cutter. For technical fabrics this keeps the feed square, which improves cutting accuracy and cuts down on waste from misaligned plies.

Yes. Bar lengths run from 160 to 320 cm so the unit matches the working width of the cutter it serves, and cores are made to measure for different fabric weights and diameters so your rolls sit correctly on the brackets. We work out the right bar length and cores with the factory before the order is placed.

Loading several rolls at once means fewer stops to change material, so the cutter spends more of the shift cutting rather than waiting. Steady tension and photocell alignment also cut down on misfeeds and scrap, so less material is wasted at the start and end of each roll.

Price depends on the bracket configuration, bar length and cores, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, sea freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.

Magnum is the authorised India distributor for FK Group. We source the feeder from the factory, manage freight and customs, coordinate installation and start-up with OEM-backed engineers, train your operators, and supply genuine wear parts to order. You keep one point of contact throughout.
