LIDEM Automatic Roll Cutting & Slitting Machine
Cut and slit jumbo rolls to width automatically, on rolls up to Ø1,000 mm and 6,000 mm wide, with saved cutting recipes and double cutting speed. The LIDEM automatic roll cutter range is Spanish-built, supplied, installed and supported across India by Magnum Resources.
About this machine
What the LIDEM automatic roll cutters do
The LIDEM automatic range is a programmable automatic roll cutting machine that slits jumbo rolls into narrower rolls, blocks, wide strips, ribbons and biases without an operator setting every cut by hand. You call up a saved recipe on the colour touch screen, and the machine adjusts its cutting parameters, indexes to the next cut and runs at double speed. It handles rolls up to Ø1,000 mm in diameter and widths up to 6,000 mm, and cuts ribbons under 20 cm wide.
Buyers know this machine by many names. The range answers searches for an automatic roll cutting machine, an automatic roll slitter, a roll cutter machine, a fabric roll cutting machine, a bias cutting machine, a ribbon or tape cutting machine and a programmable roll slitter. If you searched for any of those, this is the machine that does the work.
Built for plants converting rolls in volume
This range is for operations that convert rolls in real volume and want repeatability without depending on a skilled operator for every job. Technical and composite converters cut fibreglass and epoxy-impregnated material, bias and ribbon producers use the precision CBAE, bedding and linen makers run high daily volumes, and film, plastics and print converters slit media to width. The model range scales from the B5I to the B12, which takes rolls up to Ø1,000 mm, plus the toothed-blade P series and the high-capacity CCME MAX.
A RECIPES system saves the parameters for each job, so a repeat order runs identically the next time. The machine adjusts itself, fixes the roll pneumatically, and keeps the blade keen with an automatic double-motorised diamond sharpener and programmable lubrication and cooling, using liquid coolant or cold air below 0°C for clean cuts on fusible material.
Automatic vs manual roll cutting
A manual roll slitter depends on the operator to set each cut, measure each width and re-sharpen the blade, which limits throughput and consistency. The automatic range removes that. Cuts are stored as recipes and recalled in seconds, the machine adjusts and indexes itself at double speed, and an automatic sharpener with blade cooling holds cut quality through long runs. For a converter moving real volume, that means more rolls per shift, consistent widths and far less reliance on a single skilled hand. For lighter or simpler work, the manual LIDEM models remain the lower-cost route, and our team will help you choose.
- Repeatable: saved recipes recall exact cutting parameters for every repeat job.
- Faster: double cutting speed with automatic indexing and pneumatic fixing.
- Less skill needed: the machine adjusts its own parameters from the recipe.
- Clean cuts held: automatic diamond sharpener plus blade lubrication and sub-zero cooling.
- Big rolls: the B10 and B12 take rolls up to Ø1,000 mm in diameter.
Industries that use the LIDEM automatic roll cutters
Any plant that converts wide rolls in volume is a fit. LIDEM lists the range across:
- Technical and composite fabrics: fibreglass, epoxy-impregnated fibreglass and aerospace or automotive material.
- Bias, ribbon and tape: bias trims, borders and narrow ribbon under 20 cm.
- Bedding and linen: sheets, pillowcases, duvets, covers and hospitality linen at volume.
- Fashion and intimate wear: clothing, interlinings, underwear and swimwear fabric.
- Film, plastics and print: film rolls, plastics and digital-print media.
- Home and decorative textiles: upholstery, curtains, table and kitchen linen.
Why source the LIDEM automatic roll cutters through Magnum Resources
This is a wide range, from strip cutters to the bias CBAE, and choosing wrongly is expensive. As LIDEM's authorised India distributor, Magnum Resources works through the model, working width and roll capacity with the Spanish factory before you commit, so the machine fits the rolls and the volume you run. We bring it in, clear it through customs, install it and train your operators on the touch-screen recipes. After that, service and spares run through us.
If you are evaluating an automatic roll cutting machine or a programmable roll slitter for a textile, technical or converting operation in India, talk to our engineers about your roll widths, diameters and cut formats. We will give you accurate specs, an honest lead time and a configured quotation.
Who the LIDEM automatic roll cutters are built for in India

The numbers Indian manufacturers use to justify the CAPEX internally.
Cutting Speed
Automatic double cutting speed and recipe-driven setup move far more rolls per shift than a manual slitter, so the machine earns its place in high-volume roll conversion.
Saved Cut Programs
The RECIPES system stores cutting parameters and the machine adjusts itself, so repeat jobs run identically without re-setting by hand and operator skill matters far less.
Roll Capacity
The B10 and B12 handle rolls up to Ø1,000 mm, so you can convert the largest mill rolls in-house instead of splitting them down first or outsourcing the job.

They suit plants that convert rolls in volume and want repeatability without depending on a skilled operator for every cut: technical and composite converters, bias, ribbon and tape producers, high-volume bedding and linen makers, and film, plastics and print converters. For lighter or simpler work the manual LIDEM models remain a lower-cost route.
A manual slitter relies on the operator to set, measure and re-sharpen for each job. The automatic range stores cuts as recipes, recalls them in seconds, adjusts and indexes itself at double speed, and keeps the blade keen with an automatic diamond sharpener and cooling. That means more rolls per shift, consistent widths and far less reliance on one skilled hand.
It handles rolls up to Ø1,000 mm in diameter (B10 and B12) and widths up to 6,000 mm, and cuts narrow ribbons under 20 cm. Working widths vary by model, from 2,500 mm on the CBAE bias cutter up to 6,000 mm on the B series and CCME MAX. We size the right model with the factory.
The B5I, B6I and B8I cut blocks and wide strips up to 6,000 mm; the B10 and B12 take rolls up to Ø1,000 mm; the P5D, P6D, P8D and P10D use a toothed blade; the CCME MAX runs up to 6,000 mm and Ø650 mm; and the CBAE is a high-precision bias cutter up to 2,500 mm. We help you choose.
LIDEM lists fibreglass and epoxy-impregnated fibreglass, film and plastics, bedding and linen, decorative and fashion fabric, intimate and swimwear, technical fabrics for aerospace and automotive, disposable hospital gowns, banners and awnings, digital prints, and table and kitchen linen. Blade cooling helps it cut fusible material cleanly.
Price depends on the model, working width and roll capacity, so we quote each project individually. Typical lead time is around 12 to 16 weeks including manufacture, sea freight and customs, after which Magnum coordinates installation and operator training in India.
Magnum is the authorised India distributor for LIDEM.
